The 5G lineup of the Redmi Note 9 smartphone will finally be launched soon. A Chinese tipster has claimed on Weibo that the new Redmi Note 9 phone launch event will take place on 27 November. The 5G mid-range devices will offer next-generation connectivity and slightly better specifications than the next phone.
The standard Redmi Note 95G phone can come with a starting price of CNY 999 (about Rs 11,330). On the other hand, the price of Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G will be CNY 1,499 (about 17,000 rupees). The leaked price details suggest that the new Redmi Note 9 series will be the cheapest 5G device. The official price and other details are expected to be revealed next week. The Redmi Note 9 5G is likely to come with a 6.53-inch Full HD + IPS display. According to the listing of Chinese certification site TENAA, the device will draw power from the MediaTek Dimension 800U processor, paired with 8GB of RAM. The handset can be available with onboard storage up to 256GB. Xiaomi can add three cameras to the back of the phone. The setup will have a 48-megapixel primary sensor. The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G, on the other hand, has the M2007J17C model number. The Pro version of the phone is rumored to ship with a larger screen. The mentioned site suggested that the new 5G Redmi phone will launch with a 6.67-inch full-HD + display. It will reportedly be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor, which can be supported by up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Under the hood, there can be a 4,720mAh battery. It is estimated to sport a 108-megapixel primary rear camera. This will be the first Redmi phone to offer such a high-resolution camera.
