David Monreal said that the State System for Comprehensive Development of Families (Sedef) and the SSZ team will begin with batching and distribution of support that will reach the areas of the state where it is most needed, specifically the 142 clinics. Rural areas, where there are more deficiencies and the most vulnerable, are given attention.
He recognized the tireless stewardship of the Honorary President of Sedef as he pointed out that the endowment was a product of his visit to Utah, United States in August 2022.
He said that also in this work visit the Government of Zacatecas signed a letter of intent with the University Hospital through Sedef so that specialist doctors come to the state to train and perform surgeries in the hospitals of the Ministry of Health. ,
He pointed out that this donation is the second donation made by the Mexican Association in Utah and the Globus Relief Foundation to Zacatecas, for which he reiterated his gratitude for the first time in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and treatment materials. , The tests and equipment, which equaled the cost of 48 million pesos, were very useful.
He invited them to come to Zacatecas to witness the right use of support and, above all, to learn about Zacatecans’ expressions of gratitude.
Monreal Avila felicitated the Sediff team for supporting his wife in her work caring for vulnerable groups. “I am proud of the work they do every day for the betterment and progress of Zacatecas,” he said.
For her part, Sara Hernández de Monreal insisted on the recognition of Zacatecan migrant Salvador Lazalde because he supported the government in the procedures necessary to make this important donation possible.
The government of Zacatecas assumed the logistics costs for transportation and customs procedures, so the state’s investment was just over 2 million pesos.
The Secretary of Health, Usvaldo Pinedo Barrios, and the Director of Sedef, Humberto de la Torre Delgado, also attended the reception of the shipment, which was also recognized by the President for their work.
