Inditex announced the launch of Zara Pre-Owned, a second-hand clothing repair and donation platform, in 14 new European markets, including Spain, which It will start operating on December 12. The initiative will allow Zara customers to access these services through Zara.com, its mobile application and Zara stores.
Zara Pre-Owned is already active in other markets. In particular, the company has been active in the United Kingdom for a year and in France since last September, and the Inditex group has placed its introduction in its sustainability objectives for the coming years. The launch of this platform in Spain, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Portugal expands the scope of its action.
The new platform will be available on Zara.com’s main menu, along with categories for women, men, children and beauty.
Services like repairing used Zara clothing for every season are available to the users. Options range from replacing buttons and zippers to repairing seams. The client can do the procedure in general online or at the Zara store of your choice and repairs are made through local suppliers. In addition, Zara Pre-Owned offers its customers the opportunity to sell their Zara clothing from any collection in a secure environment. The section contains detailed information about each item, including original Zara information about the clothing and images provided by the seller.
Customers can also request to take home used clothing to donate to nonprofit organizations. If possible, they sort them for reuse or recycle them when they have reached the end of their life cycle. This service accepts products from any brand.
