Zona de Salud Sur had 335,145 visits between January and November 2022

South Zone Health Directorate registered 335,145 consultations among CAPS between January and November 2022; Hospital and health operations in Mbyá communities. The data was presented at the closing meeting of the management held in San Jose a few days back.

Of the total registered consultations, 201,316 occurred in outpatient clinics, 63,254 on-call, 68,045 by medical consultation program area and 2,530 in indigenous communities.

A total of 44,849 consultations were held in relation to the comprehensive health of the mother, child and adolescent, of which 12,113 were obstetric consultations, 16,199 pediatric consultations and 16,537 were other types of consultations.

According to data provided through SIGEP, there were 2,648 follow-ups on overweight and obese children and adolescents, 654 admissions of pregnant women before thirteen weeks for medical control, 647 follow-ups on patients with diabetes and 2,374 follow-up hypertensive patients.

The Southern Region is divided into four program regions that make up Regions II, III, IV and V, which in turn have the following referral hospitals: Concepción de la Sierra Level I Hospital Within Program Region II, Hospital de Level II of Apostols and Level I Hospital of San José for Region III, continuing with Level II Hospital of San Javier for Region IV, ending with Level II SAMIC Hospital of Leandro en Alem, Level I Hospital of Cerro Azul and the Southern Region within the program Vaccination center area in V.V.

With regard to breast cancer prevention, from the South Region, together with Program Area V, they have set up a plan to shift and transfer patients who need a mammographic examination to Obera Hospital, granting a total of 1,423 shifts.

In turn, a total of 1,180 PAP and 314 HPV tests were performed in the cervical cancer prevention work.

Finally, as part of the immunization plan, 65,838 doses were administered in line with the routine immunization schedule and within the national campaign against measles, rubella, mumps and poliomyelitis, which took place from October to December, a total of 7,372 doses for MMR and Dose for 7,375 IPV.
